Somewhere Over the Rainbow

I had the immense pleasure to spend an impromptu evening with some girlfriends recently. Each one of us either is struggling with or has struggled with some curve balls life has thrown at us. We left the troubles packed away and laughed together. The thing is, everybody has stuff to deal with. It will be easier if you can share it. Share with a spouse, friend, parent, sibling. Just share. While nobody can fix your problems, they can listen. They can hug you. They can love on you. They can encourage you. As I drove home after my time with my girls, I became overwhelmed at how much so many people I know have dealt with in the last 2 years. Illness, death, teenagers, school grades, financial struggles. Yet, life goes on. Hearts heal, tears lessen, smiles return. God always gives you a rainbow. You just have to look up to see it. The next time life seems just too hard, lift your heart and your soul to look for your rainbow. You may to have to keep looking, you never know when it will show up!

What a lovely post on friendship, Debbie. There is nothing quite like gathering with a group of friends and sharing your heartaches and laughter. What a great reminder to look for that rainbow. My eyes are upward! ?
