I just listened to a message from Andy Stanly titled, “Shock Statements”. One part of the message gave me a lot of clarity. The essence was if you choose to turn from Christ for whatever reason, you are choosing to turn toward something or someone else. Seems pretty simple. I started thinking of how many times I have been distracted by circumstances, situations, people, etc. Distractions lead to chaos in my life. Clarity comes to me with focus. Focus on the Spirit. I don’t know if it works that way for everybody, but I have finally figured it does for me. And yet, I still let the chaos distract me. When the clarity/truth gets me, it is good. Really good. I feel like my entire essence has been boiled down and reduced to a drop of something so good, so pure that I scarcely recognized it anymore. It doesn’t last long, but it is such a blessing.
